The Defending Champions upset Lakers

The Lakers were looking to extend their winning streak as they faced the Raptors. Fortunately for the Raptors, they came on top as the Lakers unfortunately lost and saw their winning streak come to an end.

Raptors going into this game did not have their star men Ibaka and Lowry, and many did not expect much from them even though they still looked quite firm but not strong enough as compared to the Lakers who had Lebron and Anthony Davis on the court.

Danny Green had a very rough night playing his former team, and this will surely go down as his worst performance in a Laker Shirt. He ended the game with;
0 pts 0/5 FG
0/4 3PT
Three rebounds
Two assists
One steal
One block
and 1 TO after 27 mins on the court.

Terrible numbers for a player like him and looking forward to their next game, many will be looking to see him redeem himself.

Pascal Siakem, however, was the MVP for the night as he caused damage to the Lakers team. He gave Anthony Davis a tough night as he blocked him on one occassion and crossed him on another occassion.

He blocked Lebron and ended the night with 24 PTS, 11 REB and 4 AST. Lebron ended the night with 13 PTS, 13 REB and 15 AST, not a good one for Lebron in quite some time now.

After the game Raptors coach Nick Nurse had something to say about Danny Green who happens to be his former player. He said, “Danny was a real glue guy for us. Tremendous leadership. Just a real winner … he had a championship under his belt. He was a super individual, and super enjoyable to coach … he’s awesome.” He added that Green’s 45% from 3 did not hurt.

Lebron had a few to say to the on-court interview and he said, “they were shorthanded, but they still got guys with Championship DNA.” A rough night for the King and his teammates.

This is one of the most impressive performances the Toronto Raptors have given this season. And going into their next game with the Clippers as they face Kawhi Leonard, many would be looking to seeing them build on this game, so they stand tall and possibly help frustrate the Clippers as well. It was a good game in all and the best team took the W.
