In an interesting development following her conviction three days ago, Akuapem Poloo has been sentenced to 90 days in prison by the Accra Circuit Court.

Speaking in court prior to her sentencing, Her Honour Mrs. Christiana Cann, she noted that such cases with reference to Akuapem Poloo’s obscene pictures with her son which she shared on social media is becoming prevalent in society, and institutions such as the court must act accordingly to deter others from committing such practice.
She further indicated that the court took into consideration all the plea for mitigation before arriving at the decision.
Upon been sentenced, Akuapem Poloo reportedly broke down in tears in the courtroom after sobbing all day.
The court’s final verdict was, however, rescheduled to Friday, April 16, 2020, for her to undergo pregnancy test in any government hospital after she indicated that she was pregant on Wednesday. This was to ascertain whether not if her claim of pregnancy was true.
But her claim of pregnancy came out false after tests conducted came out negative and this was made known in court by the presiding judge.
